Two colours, honestly mapped.
This is the instrument this site’s own imagery goes through: a photograph reduced to one tonal ramp between two colours of the palette. It runs entirely in your browser: the image never leaves your device, and it reports the real encoded size of every export, because a beautiful file that is too heavy to ship is not finished.
The studio’s own output
One grey wedge, five ramps.
StudioPhotographs and video, toned on a canvas in this tab.
Map a photograph into a two-colour ramp.
Runs entirely in your browser; exports lossless PNG and size-reported WebP.

Export
Processing happens on a canvas in your browser tab. No upload, no storage, no analytics event on the image or video itself. The PNG is lossless by format; the WebP is encoded at the quality you set, with the true file size shown before you download.
RampsTwo colours of the palette and one line between them.
Five ramps, one mapping
Each pixel’s Rec.709 relative luminance is bent by the curve, then mixed linearly between the shadow and the light colour. The strips are eleven equal steps of that line.
